Chef De Partie

Located on the foreshore of Port Hedland, with sweeping views of the Indian Ocean, Hedland Hotel has been the accommodation of choice for business travelers to Port Hedland.  The Hedland Hotel offers a cool and calming escape for guests visiting for both business and pleasure.
 
An exciting opportunity is now available for a Chef De Partie at the Hedland Hotel.  Reporting directly to the hotels Executive Chef, this hands-on role is responsible for assisting in the smooth and successful operations of the hotel kitchen that services the restaurants, bars and the many functions and events hosted. 
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards of taste and presentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workstation
• Assist with stock control, rotation, and inventory
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations
• Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Contribute ideas for new dishes and menu improvements

 
What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure - high volume a la carte kitchen
• Familiarity with fryer, grill ( steaks) pans or hand stretched pizza
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
• Culinary qualification is a plus but not essential
