The Leea is a newly launched hospitality brand within the Prendiville Group, introduced following the acquisition of the Darwin property approximately 12 months ago. The brand represents the next phase of the Group's evolution, focused on refreshed identity, enhanced guest experience, and strong commercial performance across accommodation, conferencing, events, and food and beverage.
 
The Leea Resort Darwin features 136 hotel rooms, 32 townhouses, and extensive conferencing and event facilities, positioning it as a key destination within the Northern Territory market and a flagship asset within the Group's growing portfolio.
 
We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Officer.  Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will have sound understanding of risk management, workplace safety, be forward thinking and an active leader in showcasing your skillset in supporting the development of the maintenance and public area cleaning team and ensuring compliance standards.    
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of building maintenance across a broad range of skill sets
  • Ability to independently manage a small team to keep the property in pristine condition for our guests
  • Ability to think outside of the square to be creative in finding solutions to all issues
  • Coordinate work performed by external contractors
  • Computer proficient with the ability to operate building management systems and rostering systems.
  • Able to communicate both verbally and written with other members of the senior management team
  • Be proficient in reporting and communicating goals and strategies
  • Knowledge of Standard Operation Procedures and Safe Work Method Statements.
  • Availability to work on weekends or be on call when required
 
Qualifications & experience
  • Experience in a similar role within the hotel industry
  • Previous managerial experience with strong leadership skills
  • Any relevant trade certification that may assist with fulfilling the role
  • A great attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
